The resort also features an outdoor entertainment park that can accommodate up to 30,000 people, Korea’s largest casino, a 150-meter digital entertainment street with impressive LED decor, and facilities for shopping and dining.
Improved control and security
With the resort’s many important areas such as the casino, VIP safety deposit boxes for hotel guests, MICE facilities, general cashier safes, and FM&E facility management, Inspire Entertainment Resort decided to invest in an intelligent key management system. The system was intended to ensure both security and traceability for the 1372 keys used within the complex facility.
“Since the management of physical keys is a very important task, we invested in a system that can manage logs of key usage. KeyWin6 is very intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for security officers to understand and manage user permissions. The ability to easily grant access and manage the keys was the most important and impressive feature. This has significantly reduced the time required to grant the right user the right key access,” says Matthew Roh.
A modern solution for key management
From the very beginning of the new resort’s construction, the plan was to use a system for managing keys. The main purpose was to allow authorized users to use keys only during an authorized time period and to track and manage logs to ensure keys are used within designated areas. By using KeyRack, managed with the KeyWin6 cloud service, the resort now has a modern and intelligent key management solution that provides better control and increased security.
Scalability and cost-effectiveness
Several other key management systems were compared, but KeyRack was chosen due to its excellent cost-effectiveness and scalability over time. The decision to invest in the system was made by the Vice President for the Surveillance & Security Department.
“KeyRack’s ability to continuously expand key slots by simply purchasing additional key strips is expected to reduce costs in the long run. We can build and grow with the system over time and strategically place KeyRacks where the keys are used, all centrally managed via KeyWin,” says Matthew.
Security has increased since the keys can now only be accessed by the authorized person assigned to them, placing higher demands on internal administrative processes regarding key access.
“The total number of keys is the same, but the intensity of key management has increased, with requirements for authentication by two or more people and control of key usage time,” continues Matthew.
