Previously, Rejmes did not have a process for key management, despite a very well-organized process for managing cars. Therefore, the key management created a lot of disruptions, and a lot of unnecessary time was spent looking for keys. Most of which were found again, but sometimes keys were completely lost.
“Before, we did not have an organized system for managing keys. This meant that our employees did not take responsibility for the keys they retrieved, since no one had control or could track when or who retrieved which key. But since we bought a solution from Creone we have through a thorough calculation realized that we have saved a lot of time by not having to look for keys, which means that our investment paid off very quickly, says Einar Gudmundsson, CEO of Rejmes Personvagnar AB.
An advanced process for cars and key management
Today, Rejmes created a process for keys in KeyWin that follows the same process as the cars that they are currently handling. The keys are checked in and out in the following flow: Test – Damage Repair Assessment – Workshop – Recond – Delivery. In the same way, they have a separate key management system for the cars that are currently in stock, and in the same KeyBox they also store the keys for the test-drive cars, which members of staff and customers can check in and out, with full traceability.
”We immediately fell for Creone’s solution and experience that we now have increased control, increased security and a reduced cost for the key management. As it has meant a great time-gain to not have to look for keys. We also save money, as a lost key means large a cost for purchasing a new key, as well as reprogramming of the other associated keys. The risk of having a key stolen is now very small and the discipline among our employees is very high.
