Porsche in Vietnam is currently thriving with three different locations; Porsche Saigon, Porsche Hanoi and lifestyle destination Porsche Studio Hanoi with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities. In total a team of nearly 100 employees, providing exceptional services according to the company’s global standards.
In the past, Porsche Vietnam stored all their keys manually with a dedicated person assigned to the task of handing out keys, in order to keep control.
“As a car dealer, it is essential for us to have an efficient tool to manage and control car keys. We have different groups of keys for various purposes such as demo cars, new cars, service cars, and more. Therefore, it has become crucial for us to finally have an automated tool that allows us to monitor and track which user accesses which key,” says Luu Hau Thin, Project Manager at Prestige Sports Car Company Ltd, Authorised Porsche Distributor, Vietnam.
More keys to manage
A challenge Porsche experienced in the past was random and unexpected loss of keys when users accessed them without proper control. The number of keys has increased in recent years due to the high volume of cars in the center, which includes customer service cars, new cars ready for handover, and stock cars. In particular, during peak service periods, the company needs to be prepared for the increased demand. Therefore a new more modern solution for key management was needed.
“With the purchase of four KeyBox cabinets, spread out in two of our dealerships, we at Porsche Vietnam now have a modern electronic and intelligent Key Management System to control every movement of the keys in an automated way, it has made all the difference and dramatically increased the control,” says Luu Hau Thin.
